Long hot summers leave us longing for a foot of snow outside. Well, maybe not all of us! In my childhood our family doctor told me never to make snow ice cream after the first fall of snow. He seemed to be saying that it purifies the air lurking around us. Okay, so if there is any science to that, maybe this virus will be sifted at least in part. But for now, this slow rain outside may leave us a wee bit better off. My presumption is that we should be grateful for the fresh scent after the rain. At least it gives us an emotional feeling of renewal. That makes me happy. I hope it does you!
