“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”
Jeremiah 29:11-13
Recently, a new insight came across my reading material. It suggested that these verses were often presented as prosperity teachings. The focus today is on the importance of wisdom in following God’s plan. When our whole heart is in harmony with God, we can expect to be in the center of His Will. That does not always mean blissful living. We live and we die and many times that takes us through valleys for a purpose that nurtures our spiritual growth to prepare us for the mountaintops. Other times, we go through valleys because He wants us to accompany someone else and serve as God’s messenger or guide. It is good to seek for God’s best in whatever situation we find ourselves.
