Justice will rule in the wilderness and righteousness in the field. And this righteousness will bring peace. Yes, it will bring quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in safety, quietly at home. They will be at rest. Isaiah 32:16-18
To better understand these verses, we really must read the entire chapter. It is talking about Israel’s ultimate deliverance. Personally I would say it explains turning caos into calm. Righteousness brings peace even in our lives today. We can have a quiet confidence and even hope as we face the future for the ‘rest’ of our lives. God has given us so much hope – we simple need to look to Him to embrace it.
