Meditation vs. Medication

Have you ever been told that something is “good for the soul?” Surely all of us have heard this phrase. Our physical bodies have medication that often gives relief to the body, but when our soul is weary, what is the most predictable source of healing? True, many things can help support the healing of the soul. Meditation vs. medication is recommended to sooth our discomfort. When it comes to meditation, our purest and most effective nourishment is the Word of God. If we dwell on something good for the soul, we want it to be straight from the source, right? Joshua tells us clearly what to do in Joshua. So when you are afraid or discouraged, I encourage you to read this verse. “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.” Joshua 1:8 NLT
