Nothing can improve on this verse from the book of Proverbs. Some days we are so filled with pride over perhaps one incident or aspect of our lives that we think we are wiser than anyone in the universe. Well, maybe it is only a fleeting thought, but surely we all have had that moment. Next time it happens, I hope this scripture enters my consciousness. Maybe we could adopt this verse to share next time someone says, “You think you are so smart!!!” Perhaps they don’t actually say that, but the countenance on their face is loud and clear. In this very moment, am I guilty of the same? This is exactly what happens! Repeat it with me now as I say, “Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do!”
