Honoring God

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28 NLT

As Christians, we are ‘called according to His purpose’. That does not mean there is always good in every calling. Comprehending the purpose in difficult times requires mental discipline and strength of character. Above all else, it requires a deep abiding faith in God. Jesus had the ultimate calling. He also raised the bar on being true to His calling.

When faced with unknown circumstances, can we face them with unwavering faith and dependency on God? Let TODAY be the REST of our life! Tomorrow never comes. We have only this episode in time. It is possible that praise and thanksgiving can dominate our attention. What our mind can believe, it can achieve when our focus is for good and for God. With ‘faith as our friend’, our daily walk becomes more bearable during those unexpected struggles.

Strongmen of God move closer to God in times of heartache and hardships while weak men faint under the pressure! The strong get stronger and the weak loose heart. Only the best of them are steady in the midst of the storm! I know one man like this today!

Remarkably, this man is set apart for such a time as this. “It couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy!” He is chosen for special service. God will empower his life and those around him to seek and find God’s good pleasure in the midst of the storm and make him triumphant in his legacy.

If anyone can be faithful with resiliency, it will be this man! He loves deeply. He gives of himself willingly. He is selfless in his thoughts toward others and for these tough times, he will excel beyond what even he could imagine! With God as his guide, he and his family will be stronger together than they expect. After all, spiritual blessings come in disguise.

God has blessed him with godliness and endurance for eternity. Whatever his destiny, he will live life today and live it abundantly!
