“And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed – all because you have obeyed me.” Genesis 23:18
Abraham obeyed God because of His great faith in God, not due to the reward. It is unimaginable that Abraham had any clue of the outcome of his own behavior. He could not have imagined the promise God would make in reward for his obedience. Have any of us taken such a leap of faith? It is questionable that any of us have even been chosen to exercise such a faith as this (Not even close). What measure of faith have we been asked to demonstrate?
