Pleasing Aroma to God

After washing the internal organs and the legs with water, Moses burned the entire ram on the altar as a burnt offering. It was a pleasing aroma, a special gift presented to the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded him. Leviticus 8:21

Many times in the book of Leviticus sacrifices were explained in detail. After the offering, we are reminded that it was done as a pleasing aroma to God. That was in the Old Testament. We now live under grace since Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for us. His death was a pleasing aroma to God. Our sacrifices of love and obedience are a pleasing aroma to God. Oh if we could always remember our sacrifices as a gift rather than a burden we could realize the aroma in our own situation.
