“The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.” Jeremiah 17:9-10
How often have we felt crushed by words of others that have seemed to break our heart? On the other hand, how many times have words or actions from our wicked heart seemed to crush another person? God had stated clearly that He would search our hearts. He knows our motives and will return to us our just reward. Perhaps we would not call it a ‘reward’. The point is; we get what we deserve. It is not always instant. It can be delayed in a different circumstance with different people.
